AABB2026: Saturday’s Prehospital Transfusion Sessions Free to EMS Professionals

AABB invites EMS professionals to attend four prehospital transfusion sessions at no cost on Saturday, Oct. 17, during the 2026 AABB Annual Meeting in Atlanta. Attendance is complimentary for EMS personnel who register on-site and present a valid first responder ID.

The AABB/THOR sessions run from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET and cover the clinical, operational and regulatory foundations of prehospital transfusion programs; data collection and transfusion of special patient populations; blood supply challenges and the expanded role of plasma; and program models and lessons learned from EMS and hospital perspectives.
