2026 AABB Annual Meeting Begins Saturday; Online Participation Available

Registration is still available for the 2026 AABB Annual Meeting, which begins Saturday in Atlanta. This year’s program features more than 125 expert-led sessions on key topics in blood banking, transfusion medicine, cord blood and other biotherapies.

Highlights include sessions on artificial intelligence, blood availability during public health emergencies and disasters, cold-stored platelets, advances in transfusion safety, innovations in cellular therapies and more. The program also includes joint educational sessions with the THOR Network, the International Society of Blood Transfusion, and the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.

Those unable to attend in person can participate through Annual Meeting On-Demand+, which provides access to recorded sessions, a virtual poster hall, the AABB2026 mobile app and continuing education credits through Dec. 31, 2028. On-Demand+ also features an expert-led “On-Demand Dialogue” in 2027 to expand on meeting content and encourage deeper engagement.

Registration for On-Demand+ is available through Oct. 19.
