
AABB and the AABB Foundation are pleased to announce seven deserving scientists who have achieved AABB Foundation Scholar recognition: Patricia Zerra, MD (Emory University); Yunfeng Liu, PhD, (New York Blood Center); Susan R. Conway (Children’s Research Institute); Panagiotis Mistriotis, PhD (Auburn University); Kim Vanuytsel, PhD (Boston Medical Center and Boston University); Mark N. Lee, MD, PhD (Yale School of Medicine) and Jansen Seheult, MB BCh BAO, MSc, MS, MD (University of Pittsburgh). These distinguished scientists are the latest to be awarded scholar recognition for successfully conducting and completing their research projects funded by an AABB Foundation early-career scientific research grant.
“Congratulations to this year’s scholars for the outstanding research they’ve completed,” said AABB Foundation president Richard Schäfer, MD, FRSB. “Their work exemplifies the curiosity, dedication and scientific rigor that drive progress in our field. I believe this is just the beginning of careers filled with impactful contributions to transfusion medicine and biotherapies.”
