The Blood Connection Announces New Georgia Distribution and Operations Facility

The Blood Connection (TBC), an AABB institutional member serving the southeastern U.S., will
expand its operations in Georgia with a new blood distribution and operations facility. The facility, scheduled to open in Augusta in May, aims to strengthen TBC’s ability to provide blood supplies and services to hospitals and patients while improving delivery times and expanding donation opportunities across the region.
“This new blood depot reflects our unwavering commitment to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and communities across Georgia,” said Delisa English, president and CEO of The Blood Connection. “We’re excited to provide our hospital partners with faster, more specialized services, which are essential to saving lives.”
The facility will include an upgraded blood depot to enhance storage and distribution, a reference laboratory with advanced testing capabilities for specialty blood cases and an expanded donor room designed to improve the donation experience.
