AABB invites members of the blood and biotherapies community to view the schedule for the 2025 AABB Annual Meeting, which will take place Oct. 25-28 in San Diego. The schedule outlines the full education program for the 2025 meeting, which features more than 125 education sessions on the most critical topics in blood banking, transfusion medicine, cord blood and other biotherapies.
Program highlights include sessions on the use of artificial intelligence, recognizing transfusion reactions, ensuring blood availability during pandemics and joint sessions with the THOR Network, the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) and the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI). Returning favorites include “Solve It! Scenarios in Apheresis and Cellular Therapy,” “Ultimate Test Your Blood Bank Knowledge 2025” and “Lord of the Antibodies.”
New this year, AABB will host the Cord Blood Connect education program within the Annual Meeting. The cord blood education track will explore new frontiers in mesenchymal stem cells, cord blood transplantation, and the latest opportunities and challenges in the field.
The 2025 Annual Meeting includes this year's AABB awards and lectureships, AABB Foundation events, scientific oral abstract presentations, unparalleled networking opportunities, an Exhibit Hall showcasing the latest products and services for the field, a keynote speech from Tom Whitehead, and much more.
AABB reminds the community that early-bird registration for the Annual Meeting ends July 30. Attendees who register by this date will save up to $300 on the full-meeting registration rate. Early registration also helps ensure preferred hotel accommodations and access to ticket-only events before they fill up.
