This year’s meeting will bring community members from throughout the world to San Diego, Oct. 25-28, to connect, network, learn and advance the field. This year’s education program features more than 125 expert-led education sessions on the most critical topics in blood banking, transfusion medicine, cord blood and other biotherapies. Highlights include expert-led sessions on artificial intelligence, transfusion reactions, blood sustainability and joint sessions with the THOR Network, the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) and ICCBBA.

This year, AABB will also host Cord Blood Connect education program as part of the AABB Annual Meeting. The cord blood agenda will explore critical topics in cord blood research, including new frontiers in mesenchymal stem cells, cord blood transplantation, and the latest opportunities and challenges in the field.

he 2025 AABB Annual Meeting will also feature practice-changing research, including guided poster tours, expanded oral abstract presentations and the return of abstract “spotlight sessions” featuring key voices in transfusion medicine and biotherapies.

AABB encourages the blood and biotherapies community to visit the Annual Meeting web page to learn more about special events, networking opportunities and the Exhibit Hall.
