AABB Members Confirm 2025-26 Board of Directors

AABB members have voted for two new at-large directors to the AABB Board of Directors for the 2025-26 Association year.

Caroline Wesonga Wangamati, MSc, MA, BCom, will serve in at-large director position #7 and Rob Van Tuyle will serve in at-large director position #9.

AABB members also re-elected Pampee Young, MD, PhD, for position #1 and Ray Goodrich, PhD, for position #5.

In addition, incoming president Jose Cancelas, MD, PhD, CABP, has appointed Jose Mauro Kutner, MD, and Nancy Dunbar, MD, as directors.

AABB members elected three officers who will serve under Cancelas: Richard Schäfer, MD, FRSB, will serve as president-elect; Delisa English, MBA, will serve as vice president; and Sally Campbell-Lee, MD, CABP, will serve as secretary.

AABB is deeply grateful for the work and dedication of Aaron Tobian, MD, PhD. Tobian’s term is ending on the AABB Board of Directors after his recent tenure as past president; Tobian provided many years of leadership to the Association, and the AABB community is thankful for his many contributions.

The new AABB Board of Directors will officially begin its term at the conclusion of the 2025 Annual Meeting, taking place Oct. 25-28 in San Diego.
