NYBCe, The Blood Connection Open New Donor Centers

Two AABB institutional members recently celebrated the opening of new blood donor centers.

New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the organization’s first-ever Queens donor center on Dec. 10. The event included leaders from city government, the New York City Council and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The new Queens location is NYBCe’s sixth donor center in New York City.

The Blood Connection (TBC) recently opened its first two permanent donor centers in Virginia, located in Danville and Roanoke. TBC previously served hospitals in the Roanoke region through mobile collections.
