Basic Science Subsection to Launch in February

AABB’s new Basic Science Subsection will hold its inaugural meeting at 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The subsection will explore basic science and research, with a specific eye toward advocating for basic research in transfusion medicine; building community; and advancing the work of emerging leaders in the field. The subsection will also focus on promoting experimental design approaches to investigating the molecular and cellular aspects of blood transfusions, related pathologies and biotherapies.

The subsection will meet on the third Tuesday of each month. AABB encourages all interested AABB members, especially members early in their career, to enroll on the AABB website. AABB members with questions about the subsection may contact standards@aabb.org.
