AABB Seeks Feedback on Draft 13th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services

AABB’s Cellular Therapy Services Standards Committee is soliciting feedback to help guide updates to the draft 13th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services.

The draft edition is based on the current 12th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services. Those who do not have access to the current edition may request two-week trial access to the Standards Portal by contacting standards@aabb.org.

The submission deadline is April 14. The CT Standards Committee asks individuals submitting comments to identify the relevant standard number at the beginning of each comment, particularly if providing feedback on multiple standards. The committee also encourages commenters to suggest alternative wording if it would improve clarity and to provide supporting rationale or data when expressing strong agreement or disagreement with a standard.

The committee will meet shortly after the April 14 deadline to review submissions and prepare the proposed 13th edition for member and public comment. AABB will open a 60-day public comment period in late May following the release of the proposed standards.
