AABB Lists All Active Association Bulletins

March 27, 2026

AABB released Association Bulletin #26-01 on Friday, which contains all active Association bulletins for member access. During this revision cycle, several bulletins were made obsolete and remain viewable online.

AABB’s Transfusion Medicine Subsection Coordinating Committee (TMSCC) has is tasked every year with reviewing all active AABB Association Bulletins and determining whether a bulletin shall remain active, be obsolesced or edited, as appropriate.

Changes to bulletins are triggered by several factors, including the advancement of science, changes in regulatory requirements or changes in standards and accreditation requirements. TMSCC members determined that these edits strengthen those bulletins that remain current on the AABB website. The inclusion of the most up–to-date information will benefit all AABB members, who rely on the bulletins as a part of their daily routines.

To better assist AABB members in determining what content has been revised, where appropriate, the TMSCC presents two versions of the revised bulletins: one version that contains tracked and highlighted changes and one that incorporates the changes into the bulletin’s original language. The TMSCC marked all revised bulletins with a revision date of May 2026. Previously revised bulletins are marked with the date of their revision.

Individuals with questions regarding the updated bulletins or the process by which they were updated should contact the TMSCC at standards@aabb.org
