Upcoming Science & Innovation Forum to Explore the Future of Plasticizers in Blood Collection and Storage

Complimentary registration is available for an upcoming Science & Innovation Forum focused on the evolving science of plasticizers used in blood collection, processing and storage systems, with particular attention to the transition beyond DEHP. The program will take place 2-3 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 14, and is presented by Macopharma, an AABB premium corporate partner.

The session will provide an evidence-based overview of plasticizer exposure and transfusion safety, the role of plasticizers in red blood cell storage and emerging data on DEHT-based alternatives. Speakers will also address regulatory, policy and supply considerations shaping this transition. A live audience question and answer session will follow presentations.
