AABB's Cellular Starting Material and Biotherapies Services Working Group is conducting a multi-center survey on donor deferral and management practices for allogeneic MNC(A) collections used as cellular starting material in cell and gene therapy manufacturing.
No standardized approach currently exists, and practice variation across collection facilities affects donor safety, operational efficiency and manufacturing timelines.
The survey is the first step toward understanding current practices. The working group plans to use the findings to inform a peer-reviewed publication, an education session at the AABB Annual Meeting and future efforts to develop shared recommendations on donor management.
The survey is intended for apheresis medical directors, QA managers and collection facility supervisors and takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.
The survey closes July 24.
