AABB 2026 Atlanta, October 17-19

Poster Presentation Guidelines

As a presenting author, you are required to:

  • Register and attend the Annual Meeting in person. Click here to register.
  • Create, print, and display your physical poster in the onsite Poster Hall in the Exhibit Hall at the AABB Annual Meeting.
  • Upload an electronic version (PDF) of your poster for display in the Online Poster Hall by October 5, 2026.
  • Be present at the poster during the Meet the Poster Author session in the Poster Hall on Sunday, October 18, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.

If you are unable to attend, please identify a replacement presenter and notify us as soon as possible by emailing professionaldevelopment@aabb.org. Please include your poster number, poster title, and the replacement presenter's contact information.

Please note: If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person and a replacement presenter is not identified, the poster will be published in neither the Electronic Poster Hall nor TRANSFUSION Journal.

Physical Poster Design Requirements

Please ensure your printed poster meets the following requirements:

  • Maximum poster size: 42" x 42" (strictly enforced).
Poster Size
  • Corporate or organizational logos may appear only once on the poster and may not exceed 6"x6".
  • Your abstract will be published in TRANSFUSION. Please do not duplicate the abstract text on your poster. Instead, clearly and prominently present your conclusions so attendees can quickly understand the significance of your work.
  • For readability, AABB recommends using large, easy-to-read fonts (24-28 pt or larger) and high-resolution images (300 dpi recommended for print quality).

Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in your poster needing to be modified before presentation.

Electronic Poster Hall

In addition to presenting your poster onsite, you are required to upload an electronic version for attendees to view in the Online Poster Hall. Presenting authors will receive access to the portal to upload by email. If you have not received email instructions, please contact professionaldevelopment@aabb.org.

Electronic Poster Specifications:

  • Submit your poster as a high-resolution PDF.
  • The PDF must consist of one page (one slide) only.
  • Use a 16:9 landscape aspect ratio.
  • Use sans-serif fonts, such as Arial, Calibri, Aptos, or Helvetica.
  • The minimum font size for the electronic version is 6 pt.

Optional Features:

Poster Audio: You may add up to three minutes of audio to your poster to create a more personal and engaging experience for attendees.

Poster Closed Captioning: If you add audio, you may also generate closed captions. Caption generation takes approximately one minute per minute of recorded audio (for example, a three-minute presentation will take approximately three minutes to generate captions). You will be able to review and edit the captions once they are generated. Instructions for adding audio and closed captioning will be available within the Online Poster Hall platform when you upload your poster.

Poster Printing Information

AABB is partnering with the FedEx Office at the Georgia World Congress Center to provide poster printing and convenient onsite pickup. Additional information regarding poster printing, including pricing and ordering instructions, will be sent by email to presenting authors.
