AABB Annual Meeting, Nashville, Tennessee
* Presenting authors will receive notification of the status of their abstract via email. If accepted, abstracts must be presented at the 2023 AABB Annual Meeting. The presenting author must register for the meeting, prepare their poster (or oral presentation if selected) and present in-person during their assigned session time. Oral abstract presenters will receive complimentary registration for the day that they are presenting. If the presenting author is unable to attend, a replacement presenting author can attend on their behalf. Failure to find another presenting author will potentially result in future restrictions on abstract submission.
Top Poster Awards
Top Posters will be recognized on site in a dedicated Top Poster area onsite and in the virtual poster hall. Presenting Authors of the Top Posters will be asked to participate in a curated poster tour, which is
an interactive event where abstract authors present for approximately five minutes followed by a discussion with the audience that is moderated by an expert moderator. Top Posters are also highlighted in the Transfusion journal abstract supplement.
Best Biotherapies Abstract Award
The Best Biotherapies Abstract Award recognizes one abstract that represents the highest quality novel ideas. The recipient will receive complimentary airfare, hotel, and complete registration to

abstract supplement.
Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees

Yes. If accepted, abstracts must be presented in-person at the annual meeting. The presenting author must register for the meeting, prepare their poster (or oral presentation if selected) and present during their assigned session time. If the presenting author cannot attend, an individual may take their place. Failure to present the abstract in-person, without adequate notification and justification, may prevent the authors from submitting abstracts to future meetings. All posters must be mounted throughout the duration of the designated time and may not be removed early for any reason.
If the abstract is selected as a plenary or oral abstract, the presenting author will receive complimentary meeting registration for the day of the educational session in which they participate. Poster abstract presenters, session table monitors, assessors, and grant recipients do not receive complimentary registration under this policy.
If your abstract is accepted as a poster, we will provide printing instructions when you receive the final notification email in mid-June.
The abstract submission fee is required and is a nonrefundable processing fee, and not based on approval of your abstract submission or attendance at the AABB 2023 Annual Meeting. This fee helps support AABB’s ability to further contribute to the advancement of research in the field. Thank you for your support.
