2025 AABB Annual Meeting Begins Saturday, Online Participation Available

Registration is still available for the 2025 AABB Annual Meeting, which begins Saturday in San Diego. This year’s program features more than 125 expert-led sessions on key topics in blood banking, transfusion medicine, cord blood and other biotherapies.

Highlights include a debate on whole blood use in modern transfusion practice, sessions on organoids in research and biotherapies, a hot topic update on AABB’s new platelet and red blood cell transfusion guidelines, and much more. The meeting will also include a prehospital transfusion workshop, career fair and joint sessions with THOR, ISBT, ASHI and ICCBBA.

Those unable to attend in person can participate through Annual Meeting On-Demand+, a new option that provides access to recorded sessions, virtual poster hall, AABB2025 mobile app and continuing education credit opportunities. On-Demand+ also features expert-led “On-Demand Dialogues,” taking place in 2026, that expand on meeting sessions and encourage deeper engagement.
