The AABB Foundation invites members of the blood and biotherapies community to join millions of people worldwide in supporting the season of giving. While GivingTuesday on Dec. 2 marks a global moment of generosity, the spirit behind it continues throughout the rest of the year.
Launched in 2012, GivingTuesday began as a simple idea to encourage people to do more good in their communities. It has since grown into an international movement that inspires individuals and organizations to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
As year-end approaches, the AABB Foundation highlights the importance of charitable giving in fulfilling its mission and extends its gratitude to all who have contributed so far. In 2025, contributions from supporters helped the AABB Foundation to award $700,000 in grants to investigators advancing critical research across all areas of transfusion medicine and biotherapies.
Continued financial support helps sustain this work and advance discoveries that benefit patients and the broader health care community. For those who would like to join the community in supporting this important work during the giving season, information about donating online and opportunities to support the AABB Foundation are available at aabb.org/foundation.
