Requesting a Standards Clarification

AABB members or individuals of the public can request a standards clarification in order to better understand the intent of a particular standard. For example, standards clarifications may specify the rationale behind a standard or how to meet the intent of a standard. Standards clarifications can be obtained by submitting the Standards Clarification Form.

Responses are written by a member of the appropriate standards committee. The response is then reviewed by other members of the standards committee to ensure the best and most complete response possible.

Individuals who submit a standards clarification will usually receive a response within four and six weeks. If it has been more than six weeks since you submitted your request for clarification, please contact the Standards Department.
