DRAFT 8th edition of Standards for Molecular Testing for Red Cell, Platelet and Neutrophil Antigens

AABB's Molecular Testing Standards Committee (MT SC) is seeking feedback to inform the draft 8th edition of Standards for Molecular Testing for Red Cell, Platelet, and Neutrophil Antigens before the MT SC meets to draft and finalize the proposed edition. The MT SC requests that individuals with comments submit them no later than Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Those without access to the 7th edition of Standards for Molecular Testing for Red Cell, Platelet, and Neutrophil Antigens, which serves as the basis for the 8th edition, should contact standards@aabb.org to request two-week trial access to the AABB Standards Portal.

Individuals submitting comments should identify each standard by number at the beginning of the comment. The committee also encourages the inclusion of alternative wording when appropriate, as well as any rationale or data that support strong agreement or disagreement with a draft standard.

A 60-day open comment period will occur following publication of the proposed 8th edition, which is scheduled for March. Submissions received by the Jan. 6 deadline will help inform the committee as it develops the next edition.
