AABB Lists All Active Association Bulletins

February 24, 2023

On Friday, AABB released Association Bulletin 23-01, which contains all active association bulletins for member access. During this revision cycle, AABB’s Transfusion Medicine Subsection Coordinating Committee (TMSCC) made several association bulletins obsolete. Obsolete bulletins are available online.

In the past, TMSCC) reviewed all active AABB association bulletins to determine whether a bulletin would remain active, be obsolesced or edited where appropriate. Several factors can trigger changes to bulletins, including scientific advances, changes in regulatory requirements or changes to standards and accreditation requirements. The TMSCC feels that these edits strengthen the bulletins that remain current by including the most up-to-date information to benefit AABB members who rely on the bulletins as a part of their daily routines.

To better assist AABB members in determining what content has been revised, where appropriate, the TMSCC presented two version of the revised bulletins: one version containing highlighted changes and one that incorporates the changes into the bulletin’s original language. The TMSCC has marked all revised bulletins with a revision date of February 2023.

Individuals with questions regarding the updated bulletins or the process by which they were updated may contact the TMSCC at standards@aabb.org.
