AABB Recognizes World Malaria Day

AABB joins a global coalition of organizations led by the RBM Partnership to End Malaria in marking the 15th Annual World Malaria Day on April 25. This year, the World Malaria Day theme is, “Time to Deliver Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement,” which highlights the need for urgent action and further investment to end malaria.

The RBM Partnership estimates that since the turn of the millennium, global partnership and sustained investment have prevented two billion malaria cases and saved 11.7 billion lives; however, the organization emphasized that this progress is at risk.  

The World Malaria Day website includes a toolkit that organizations can use to promote the day, share advice for malaria prevention, raise awareness of the global challenges in beating malaria and teach the importance of ending malaria for good.
