AABB Members Confirm 2023-24 Board of Directors

AABB members have voted for two new at-large directors to the AABB Board of Directors for the 2023-24 Association year. Pampee Young, MD, PhD, will serve in at-large director position #1 and Federico Rodriguez Quezada, SBB, MLS(ASCP)CM, will serve in at-large director position #5. AABB members also re-elected Nancy Dunbar, MD, for at-large director position #7 and Sally A. Campbell-Lee, MD, CABP, for at-large director position #9.

In addition, incoming president Aaron A. R. Tobian, MD, PhD, has re-appointed John Hagins as a director and appointed Raymond Goodrich, PhD, as a director.

AABB members elected three officers who will serve under Tobian: Meghan Delaney, DO, MPH, will serve as president-elect; Jose Cancelas, MD, PhD, CABP, will serve as vice president; and Richard Schäfer, MD, FRSB, will serve as secretary. Delisa English, MBA, has been re-appointed as treasurer.

AABB is deeply grateful for the contributions and dedication of Rachel Smith and Jerry A. Holmberg, PhD, MT(ASCP)SBB, who are retiring from the AABB Board of Directors. In addition, Dana Devine, PhD, is ending her term on the AABB Board of Directors after her recent tenure as past president; Devine provided many years of leadership to the association and AABB is grateful for her contributions.

The new AABB Board of Directors will officially begin its term at the conclusion of the 2023 Annual Meeting, taking place Oct. 14-17 in Nashville.
