WHO Webinar Will Introduce Documents on PBM, Blood Use and Hemovigilance

The World Health Organization (WHO) will host a webinar on July 26 to introduce three publications developed by the organization as part of its action framework to advance universal access to safe, effective and quality-assured blood products 2020-23.

The webinar will address the WHO policy brief on the urgent need to implement patient blood management (issued October 2021); the WHO educational modules on clinical use of blood (issued December 2021); and the WHO user guide for navigating resources on stepwise implementation of hemovigilance systems (issued July 2022).

The webinar will be available in two sessions: 9-11 a.m. CEST (3-5 a.m. EDT) and 16-18:00 CEST (10-12 a.m. EDT). The webinar is intended for blood regulatory officials, but the public may attend
