Advance Annual Meeting Registration Ends Today

August 31, 2022

Today is the final day to take advantage of advance registration rates for the 2022 AABB Annual Meeting. Those who register by 11:59 pm (ET) today will save $130 on the registration cost for this year’s meeting, which will take place Oct. 1-4 in Orlando, Fla.

The 2022 Annual Meeting features a robust educational program that explores the field’s most pressing topics: large-volume delayed-sampling platelets, platelet and plasma transfusion in critically ill children, potential changes to platelet dosing, blood shortages, data optimization, and more. This year’s meeting will also feature a selection of sessions and workshops on diversity, equity, inclusion and access; a leadership workshop that highlights challenges for emerging leaders; “Critical Conversation” sessions that explore individual risk assessment, bias in the workplace and health care, cellular starting material, and a panel discussion with AABB CMO Claudia Cohn, MD, PhD. The program also features two research and progress sessions focused on donor remuneration and the future of convalescent plasma.

Attendees are also invited to attend curated poster tours, taking place Sunday and Monday during the meeting. Tour guides from the AABB community will navigate attendees through this year’s top posters, grouped into three categories: components and manufacturing, transfusion adverse events and innovations. Each tour will last 45-60 minutes and include brief presentations from each poster author, along with a short question-and-answer period.

Additional information, including the Meeting’s health and safety policy, is available online.
