2023 Annual Meeting Abstracts Due Today

May 03, 2023

Today is the final day to submit abstracts for the 2023 AABB Annual Meeting, which will take place Oct. 14-17 in Nashville, Tenn. AABB encourages researchers whose work addresses critical aspects of the blood and biotherapies field to submit an abstract for the meeting. Additional information regarding submissions is available in AABB’s Abstract Preparation and Submission Guidelines.

Those whose abstracts are accepted are required to attend the 2023 AABB Annual Meeting, where they will have the opportunity to present their work to attendees from throughout the world.

During the Annual Meeting, AABB will recognize Top Poster Award winners in a designated Top Poster area on site and in a virtual poster hall. Additionally, presenting authors are invited to participate in a curated poster tour: an interactive event where abstract authors present for approximately five minutes followed by a moderated discussion with the audience.

The Best Biotherapies Abstract will recognize one abstract that represents the highest quality novel idea. The recipient will receive complimentary airfare, hotel and complete registration to attend the AABB Annual Meeting.

Additionally, the Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees will return for the 2023 meeting. The awards recognize up to 10 trainees who submit an exceptional abstract based on peer review and determination of abstract quality and scientific merit. Recipients will receive a $500 award and be recognized for their achievement at the Plenary Abstract session at the Annual Meeting.

The Committee will select awardees from the following five categories: undergraduate nursing or medical laboratory science student; specialist in blood banking certificate student; medical or graduate student; medical resident; and fellow or post-doctoral scientist.
