11th Edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services Take Effect

The 11th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services took effect July 1 and is available in the AABB Store in a print edition, electronic edition or bundle of both editions. AABB also released a bundle of the 11th edition in print and the Guidance for Standards for Cellular Therapy Services.

For facilities implementing the 11th edition, the AABB Cellular Therapy Services Standards Committee developed a document that outlines significant changes to the edition and includes the Committee’s response to comments received during the development process. In addition, an on-demand eCast, “Significant Changes to the 11th Edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services (23EL-842),” discusses these changes in greater detail.

Organizations interested in adopting the Standards for Cellular Therapy Services can participate in a complimentary two-week trial of the electronic version of the 11th edition in the Standards Portal. Individuals with questions regarding the Standards should contact standards@aabb.org.
