SCB Workshop to Focus on Standardization of Methods for Assessing Gene Therapy Product Activity, Comparability

The Standards Coordinating Body (SCB) for Regenerative Medicine, the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institute of Standards and Technology recently announced a workshop to discuss the current global status of the fields of gene therapy, gene modification and T-cell therapy. While gene therapy standards are the primary focus of this workshop, the program will also touch on challenges relevant to cell therapy standards.

The workshop is co-organized by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and will take place Nov. 16-17 at USP’s headquarters in Rockville, Md. Interested individuals may also participate virtually. Registration is complimentary but required to attend.
