Voting to Approve AABB 2024-25 Board of Directors Slate Begins Friday

The voting period for AABB individual and institutional members to approve the candidate slate for the AABB 2024-25 Board of Directors begins Aug. 16. AABB’s election vendor, Survey Ballot Systems, will email ballots to all eligible members of the Association on Friday. AABB asks members to be on the lookout for this email and to add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender. Members who do not receive a ballot should contact support@directvote.net.

This year, the candidate slate includes six at-large directors, as well as the president-elect, vice president and secretary. The candidates on the ballot are uncontested, with no nominations by petition having been submitted by the membership. Candidates on the ballot this year include: 

• President-Elect: Jose Cancelas, MD, PhD, CABP

• Vice President: Richard Schäfer, MD, FRSB
  

• Secretary: Delisa English, MBA
  

• At-large director (Position #2): John Hagins

• At-large director (Position #3): Dawn Ward, MD, CABP

• At- large director (Position #4): Don Siegel, MD, PhD

• At- large director (Position #6): Melissa Cushing, MD

• At- large director (Position #8): Harpreet Sandhu, MSHS, MBA

• At- large director (Position #10): Suzie Thibodeaux, MD, PhD, CABP(H)
  

In addition to approving the candidate slate, AABB invites members to share their thoughts on issues and priorities for the Board to consider during the year ahead. There is an opportunity to do so in the comment box provided after submitting your ballot. 

The voting period will end Friday, Sept. 13, at 11:59 pm (ET).
