Exam Window for CABP Credentialing Program Begins Today

September 07, 2022

The inaugural exam window for the AABB Certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional (CABP) exam – the field’s first and only certification for biotherapies professionals – began today and concludes Oct. 17.

Becoming a CABP is a mark of distinction, establishing that qualified professionals have demonstrated – through a comprehensive certification exam – that they have the necessary knowledge to credibly practice in the field of biotherapies. The exam covers seven domains: Biotherapies in the Patient Care Ecosystem, Biotherapies Science and Ethics, Operations and Equipment, Biotherapies Development Lifecycle, Manufacturing, Quality Systems and Regulatory Environment.

Interested individuals can review eligibility information and apply to take the exam online. AABB will waive the application review fee (a value of $150) for the first 200 approved applicants. In addition, AABB is offering one complimentary exam retake (a value of $150) for candidates who take the exam in the initial testing window. Those who pass the exam during the first exam window will also be assigned a low certification number, which will identify them as pioneers in the field for as long as they hold the credential.
